Hannah Heys - Artist Biography

Hannah Heys is a multidisciplinary Artist and Designer residing in Cheddington Buckinghamshire.

Hannah has been exploring combining traditional methods of craft with contemporary design through her Textiles practice since 2010. Hannah’s practice has been a natural progression to now incorporate working with Clay, exploring form, function and texture when creating 3D objects to translate her more delicate designs.

Combining her passion for contemporary design with detailed craftsmanship Hannah both hand throws and slab builds her vases to create a variety of interesting shapes. Using natural, black and white stoneware Clay, the vases act as a blank canvas ready for Hannah to delicately decorate using intricate freehand sgraffito and slip trailed designs in bold and bright colours.
