A wonderful original watercolour study by Carmen Carreira.

The piece is supplied mounted and framed in a walnut frame.  The image measures approximately 14.5cm x 9.5cm, and the outer frame 22cm x 16.5cm.

Carmen explains the inspiration of the piece, "We have a friendly robin who visits us often in our garden. When we were trimming back the hedges in Autumn he looked a little concerned, but I reassured him that they'll all return in the Spring."

About Carmen Carreira

Carmen Carreira is a wildlife illustrator who since graduating in Illustration from Kingston University, has produced book art for Random House, Country Living and the National Trust, illustrations for greeting cards and magazines, has exhibited at the Mall Galleries for the London Artists Book Fair, and creates one-off commissions for private collectors and galleries.

She grew up in Buckinghamshire, although spent many childhood summers in rural northern Spain on the family farm. Now settled in Leighton Buzzard with her family, her home studio overlooks the fields of Southcourt Stud Farm. Her work is often inspired by the wildlife that visits there - foxes, red kites, muntjac deer, pheasants and a whole host of other wonders that she captures in watercolour and pencil.
