About the Artist
Alex Penn Carver's current passion for decorating stones stems from her general love of stones and words, and from a life long habit of experimenting.
Her degree was in textiles and fashion but she was always drawn to other media and got really excited about mixing them. Cloth, wax, wood, glass, plaster, tiles, jewels, and feathers, to name but a few.
She loves words and stones. What could be more compelling....the possibilities for combinations of words, stones and different media treatments, are endless.
