Salter & Spoon Chameleon Pot by Jeanne Jackson

A hand thrown salter and spoon pot in earthenware with sponge glaze and a Scraffito detail by Jeanne Jackson. With a chameleon and decorative leaf pattern Jeanne has employed her unique style to portray this creature.

This useful kitchen salter comes with a small ceramic spoon and  measures approximately 11cm high x 10cm wide.

Artist Statement – Jeanne Jackson

After a degree in Ceramics from Bristol University and further study at Saratoga University, New York State, Jeanne established her first workshop at Space Studios in London`s Docklands. After moving to Oxfordshire, she combined teaching Art and Ceramics with producing her own work. Jeanne's style and materials have evolved and changed over the years but drawing has always been an important part of her development. Travels in Central America and Africa have informed the designs of her recent work which involves scraffito drawing and under glazes and oxides. Jeanne's work is both hand built and wheel thrown and she specialises in individual unique pieces.

Jeanne is a member of Oxfordshire Craft Guild, West Ox Arts, Oxfordshire Artweeks and an Associate member of the Craft Potters Association.
