Merino Wool Pendant (HFFP03) by Heidi Fenn

An usual textile pendant - wearable art inspired by stormy skies.

Hand-crafted by Heidi Fenn from merino wool with glass seed beads. The pendant is set in a hypoallergenic stainless steel base and is supplied with a stainless steel chain.

The pendant measures approximately 2.5cm square.

About Heidi Fenn

Heidi Fenn moved to London from Denmark and studied at the London College of fashion before eventually settling in Buckinghamshire. The Chilterns provide an ever-present source of ideas. She often takes a picture in her head, storing it away for future use. She is also inspired by the rugged landscapes of the north coast of Denmark where she grew up and modern contemporary architecture.

Primarily Heidi is a felt and fibre Artist, creating jewellery and wall art from pure sheep’s wool and mixed media including beads and other natural materials such as horsehair. When she found out that farmers were throwing their fleeces away during lockdown it had a profound effect upon her and she now uses mainly British sourced wool.

Her concrete jewellery embraces the imperfections which naturally occur during casting, ensuring that no two pieces are the same. Gold leaf or glitter enhance the natural textures of the medium, sometimes resembling stars across a dark sky or sparkly geodes.
